Lending businesses operate under AML/CTF obligations, ASIC oversight, and strict expectations about how data is handled, and the technology choices made here shape that posture directly. I was CTO of LoanOptions.ai, Australia’s first AI-powered loan comparison and broking platform, where I built and operated the architecture and the AI matching engine that connects borrowers to lenders across the market. The regulatory expectations, the lender integrations, the credit bureau connections, and the security bar are familiar ground. Current work includes fractional CTO engagements with lending and fintech platforms and architecture oversight for brokers weighing up their technology.
Insolvency and restructuring
Small Business Restructuring is a growing and closely watched part of Australian corporate law, and practitioners need technology that treats ASIC reporting, creditor communication, and sensitive financial data with the seriousness they require. We built SBR Success with Business Reset, a public platform that has become a reference point for directors and accountants choosing a practitioner. It is live and free at sbrsuccess.com.au.
Professional services
Accounting firms, legal practices, and advisory businesses tend to share one problem: operations held together by spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and manual steps that worked at five people and break at twenty. I help these firms decide what to automate, what to consolidate, and what to leave well enough alone.

I take on work outside these areas when the problem is real and the founder is serious. Recent engagements include CRM architecture advice for a national vehicle sourcing brokerage and platform strategy for a property transaction business.
